Got this about 1 week ago with the 8 cell battery and 250GB hard drive. I upgraded the RAM to 2GB and have upgraded the OS to Win7 Pro in order to take full advantage of the touch/tablet features.

A Good Buy that I dont regret!!!!
Overall the product has been a very good buy. I wish it was cheaper but it was worth the money I paid for it. Finger prints are very easy to see, but I am not complaining about that small gripe. I have enjoyed it, and the only reason why I would upgrade is to buy the 10inch version once it arrives. I have been wanting a laptop for a long time, and I felt with the touch screen and being a small device, that this was all I needed especially to carry around and do small business task later on this year for myself. I am not saying this a great device, but I am saying this was worth it for me and my usage.

Bought this for minor word processing and spreadsheet work. Watching movies and Wifi was just a side bonus.

Screen: You can watch movies on it, very clear in door screen/monitor. however Glare is bit of a problem when you are outside. Even when screen is at brightest, you will have some difficulty with the screen when you are outside. Touch screen isnt as sensitive as the ipod. You are going to need your stylus or push bit harder w your fingers.
Also get a screen cloth if you dont want smudges on your screen.

Fujitsu is a cut above the others

I have owned 2 LifeBooks and currently have a T4020. Fujitsu is head and shoulders above the other laptop makers in quality, functionality, reliability and above all in tech support. This morning I had a problem with the input panel due to an upgrade of windows, and they competently led me to the correct driver update, even though my tablet is an older model. It's rare to find competent first class tech support these days, but Fujitsu still provides it. (detail)

This is never a general purpose notebook and every interested potential owner should know clear his/her own usage with this machine and judge whether this is suitable. When I recently decided that I was tired of printing my schedule out each night and toting a hardcopy with me, the obvious answer was to get a convergent device that integrated PDA functionality with cell phone functionality. Forget the iPhone, this is the killer smartphone to get!
I was lucky enough to hear that this phone had been released just days after I had bought the 8525 to replace a previous broken phone. There seemed to be some confusion with the AT&T sales people, since currently with rebates it sells for less than the 8525 and some internal memo seems to have them telling customers that a different update to the 8525 is still coming. Make no mistake, this is the upgrade for the 8525 and it's a beauty! Amazing tool and toy!!

Dont regret the purchase

I am often seeking new toys, electronics that is. And my recent purchase of the touch is something I definably will not be regretting three to six months later when something newer comes out. After doing some research on specs and capabilities on this phone, the I-Phone, Tilt, and some other smart phones that were cheaper but offered similar capabilities, I must say this is the one I would recommend everyone. I've been a long subscriber of Sprint, and was never impressed on how their phones ranked with other service providers, specially since sprint tends to be slightly more expensive than others. (more)

Easily the best Blackberry to date

As a person who is accustomed to the Blackberry interface, but has minimal experience with some other smart/mediaphones (iPhone, Nokia e71, Nokia N97) I can say with confidence that this is the best phone I have ever handled, and definitely the tip-top when it comes to Blackberry devices.

Where no Bold has gone before (and a 2Gig micro SD card)
Hoping to replace my older curve 8310, I was leaning towards the 8900, instead of the Blackberry Bold. The Bold had 3G. 8900 didn't. But the 8900 had better battery life. And that was an important factor for my usage patterns.

Boldly enters the new Bold 9700. Has 3G, has the higher resolution of the 8900. Has WiFi. It also boasts a better battery life than the 8900 on the spec sheet. I ordered it and got it overnight and at two days of usage, I am VERY happy with this model.

Another GREAT Blackberry - The Tour 9630

So, I have been using blackberries ever since the day they were released with the 8xx model and have since been through almost every model that has come out, including the Storm for one day. My recent device of choice was the Blackberry Curve II or 8900 which was a EDGE and Wi-Fi enabled blackberry with a beautiful screen and a great keyboard. The device prior was a Blackberry Bold, which incidentally sparked the new generation of Blackberries. Today I received my Blackberry Tour 9630 running on the Verizon Wireless network....sorry but the guy in the glasses was nowhere to be seen in the box and or around me. Jokes aside, the Tour touts the Verizon EVDO network and no Wi-Fi; it does have a SIM so that it can be used globally. I know there are dozens of reviews on this product so I am not going to go in to the features, I am merely going to try to share my experience with the device after one day.

I will always own a Blackberry

I got my first BB 2 yrs ago (8800 series) and absolutely love it, never had any problems with it even to this day. Since my contract was up for renewal, I opted for the Pearl 8110 in Pink (or also called Pink Henna). It is cosmetically pleasing to the eyes (very girly), as well as easy to use. The QWERTY keyboard takes some getting use to but once you get the hang of it you'll love it (only thing that I have a hard time with is since it is a QWERTY keyboard, you cant figure out phone numbers that are spelled out, for example: 1800GoFedex - unless you know the numbers your unlikely to figure it out on this phone).

After a year I still love this phone
I have had this phone for over a year already and I still love it.

I have not had any real problems with it.
The trackball only became unresponsive when it got something on it and it only happened twice.
I got used to the SureType pretty quickly.
I bought a plastic snap on case at the swapmeet that protects the phone pretty good, I have dropped the phone and the case broke but phone was fine.
I did have the issue others mentioned of losing SMS before you can reply and the ringer volume issue but they were both easily resolved in the settings and profiles.
I love it as a music player and actually use it more than my iPod because you can listen without headphones.

Very nice phone
Although I didn't end up keeping this Pearl, my complaints were with T-mobile and not the 8120. It was tough to gauge the reception of the phone because, in my area at least, T-mobile was mediocre. However, as a smartphone, it was very nice; my only complaints were regarding the WiFi and the keyboard. First, I didn't sign up for UMA and hoped to use WiFi just for data when around home or a hotspot; it didn't work very well and I ended up using the EDGE connection all of the time. The SureType keyboard was pretty decent for what it was; it was certainly better than T9. It simply isn't a full keyboard and though it tries to act like one through a T9-like dictionary, I ended up choosing a Curve the next time.

BlackBerry Got It Right With This Phone!
FINALLY! A SmartPhone that keeps you productive and doesn't hassle you with malfunctions!

As you can probably surmise, I'm coming over from the Windows Mobile platform. After several years of wrestling with those units (especially Treos), I decided to give the BlackBerry 8830 a try, and am I glad that I did. I've had the opportunity to own/use this unit for several months now. There is just no comparison. The 8830 lives up to its promises, and is actually enjoyable to use.

Excellent phone

I got this as a corporate replacement for a Verizon XV-6700. What a difference! Blackberry sets the standard for smartphone design & engineering, and it shows.

I bought this as an altrernative to carrying a laptop
I bought this phone about a year ago right after my trusty old Thinkpad bit the dust. I thought about replacing the computer but I'd heard so many good things about the Blackberry that I decided to give it a look. I travel for my job and need to have email access throughout the day. In addition I use a CRM called Maximizer Enterprise that keeps track of all my appointments, notes and customer information. The Blackberry is one of the devices that will run a mobile version, Max Mobile, of this software.

Very good phone with lots of features!
I've been using my new Blackberry 8220 flip phone for about a week now. Here are my impressions about this phone... the pros and cons. Keep in mind that this is my first Blackberry phone, so I do not review it in comparison to any other blackberry. Instead, I compare it to other flip phones I've had. Love my Pearl

As a Verizon customer, I waited patiently until they got the Curve. As soon as they did, I went to the Verizon store to check it out. But I also checked out the Pearl--and bought one. It's great! Getting used to the compact keyboard and the Sure Type was a breze-took no time at all. Performs all the same functions of the Curve--but is so compact and light weight, you don't even notice it in your pocket.

I can't find anything to complain about!

Over all, this phone is amazing. I was afraid when I saw how small the buttons were that I would have trouble by accidentally hitting multiple ones at the same time, or the wrong ones, but I haven't had that problem at all. Actually, they seem to be just the right size.

Sleeker looking than the Silver Version

The Verizon 8830 comes in silver, black and this red version. Note that the red is not a bright cherry red, it's darker and richer - closer to a ruby than the picture might depict. The 8830 is slimmer than earlier generations and very easy to manipulate with one hand. And bless RIM for introducing a trackball rather than continuing to use that carpal tunnel-inducing scroll wheel. The other differences from earlier models are the ability to swap in a MicroSD card for more storage, GPS mapping, GSM/GPRS roaming capability, and media playback like the BB Pearl (MP3, unsecure AAC, unsecure WMA, MP4, & H.263). Battery life is fine - all-day phone usage will require a recharge like most phones but web browsing and email management all day hardly nudges the meter.

Great phone! So far - at least

I was a little apprehensive in the beginning to get this white version of BB Pearl. I was pleasantly surprised with its looks once I rec'd the shipment. It is a TRUE pearl color and not white or off-white as advertised.

Sweet!

I have waited long enough. Being a techie and carrying a $20 (free) phone for over 3 years just didn't seem right. So my change of job prompted me to look for a phone which also has web/email capabilities. I considered strongly the Samsung Blackjack and the Blackberries. The blackjack's look, while cool from a distance, had keys that looked like left-over chicken-pox blisters. The much raved about Blackberry email push technology finally won me over. I had to decide between the pearl and the bigger versions. I read the 8700g and other blackberries are a bit too big for the pocket. So I chose the Pearl. Here's my take:

So-so phone.

First, the call quality is very good- much better than my Motorola SLVR v8. If you're looking for a good phone, with a few extra "smart phone" features, this is a good choice.

Newer & smaller isn't always better!

Although this particular BlackBerry model is becoming hard-to-find, there are good reasons to choose the 8703 over newer, cuter, smaller models. Basically, why have a BlackBerry if typing is a total hassle? The newer models shrink the keys even smaller, making typing anything more than a brief note painfully arduous. With the 8703, typing even long e-mails is pretty easy. Downside, of course, is that it's a bit bulkier than newer models ... but how much do a few ounces really matter anyway? Do buy an extra battery, though... if this is your first BlackBerry, know that battery life is significantly more limited than with a "traditional" cellphone because the BB is constantly transmitting data.

PS3, after football season is long over..., ok, I bought the PS3 when they first released the 80GB version. Since then, I've been playing Madden '09 on a daily basis. After the initial purchase, I bought a wireless router, a HDMI cable, and a Sony Bluetooth Headset(really good). I've had a lot of fun! Now, here is the bad news. The EA Lobbies are empty, so I've been trying out the free demos at the Playstation Network. So far, I bought Flower(don't suggest), Pain (so-so), GTI Club (awesome), Zuma (awesome), and Pixeljunk Monsters (awesome). I've been waiting to find a game worth buying, but I'm not into all that 3-D graphics and war/killing based themes. My question is why aren't there more football style games? I bought NCAA Football '09, as well as the horrible NFL Tour (picked it up for $13). I really would buy another football game, even if it stunk. Heck, I bought Jerry Glanville's Pigskin Football, Mutant League Football and played Cyberball for hours on the Genesis. I honestly believe we need some more variety in this genre besides Madden. Maybe, some developer will read this post and create a fun arcade style game related to football. I only can wish! Thanks for reading.

The killer app for the Blackberry is, and has been the OS. It is the most stable, reliable, and advanced operating system of an smartphone around. I've used the G1, Treo's, Sidekicks, Windows devices and others, this trumps them all.

Great Camera

Camera is a "Factory Demo" and you don't find this out until the item is shipped so it's not exactly as it is stated in the posting. Having said that, I have had no problems with the camera, but it has one small mark on the bottom. Has taken some amazing pictures, and I've only really used it on the "automatic" setting.

This product is excellent. I've used FujiFilm products all my life and they've never failed to impress, this is no exception. This camera has 10 Megapixel and 3x optical zoom with many options to make sure you GET the shot you like including certain lighting or no red eye display! Video is in MP4 format and the pack-in suggest Quicktime (As it's included)However I don't suggest installing it, you can get any kind of MP4 playing software that surpasses Quicktime. with a rechargable lithium ion battery and great battery life, you'll be able to take a large amount of pictures and movies (Depending on what size SD card you get)only bad thing is you can't use the cam as a web cam and you can't "use" the camera in USB mode.However the photo quality is superb and video quality is perfect which makes up for the USB mode flaw. An excellent camera for an Excellent price, Highly recommended!

I recommend it enthusiastically

Wonderful camera! Its features are easy to use, and the images are crystal sharp. I like the compact size and the quality components. The price is right, too. I researched sub-compact digital cameras for several weeks before choosing this one, and am glad I did. The zoom lens is far better than expected at this price. The images are comparable to a much more expensive camera but this one is easier to use. You can't go wrong with this one and I recommend it enthusiastically.
bought 3 of them! Have bought 3 of these cameras for my children. Positives: Takes great pictures, zoom is great, easy to use, different colors helps them identify theirs, battery fully charges in about 1 hour (remove battery from camera & plug into wall charger), fits into pants pocket or purse, upload into computer/facebook/email. negatives: memory card only holds about 15 pics, so bought a 128mb memory card which holds about 50 pictures. The price of camera + 128mb memory card = less than $200. A great value.
